Concorso D'Eleganza Villa D'Este 2011

In 2011, the Concorso D'Eleganza Villa D'Este got some sort of a "facelift".
The most important change was that it was held from May, 20th to 22nd,
about one month later, than in earlier years.

BMW, main sponsor of the most important Concours D'Elegance in Europe, also started to establish a motorcycle exhibition,
that will lead to a motorbike concours in the following years.

Another addition to the main event was an auction by RM Auctions.
It was amazing what kind of cars they brought to Cernobbio!
It was some sort of Concours in the Concours.
Of course, it (hopefully) won't happen again, that unique cars out of a Designer-Museum have to be auctioned.
So the highlights at the auction were six cars from Bertone. Phantastic!!!
But there were a lot of other interesting (and that means expensive!) cars, too.

In 2011, BMW celebrated the 75th anniversary of the BMW 328.
Today, a legend on four wheels, one of the most successful sportscars, and, of course, one of the best looking ones, too.
